River Rat Cabin

Experience the beautiful Adirondacks in a rustic, yet cozy cabin. Smally's Cabin, Dragonfly Cabin and River Rat Cabin are located on 9 private acres situated along the bank of the Oswegatchie River. There are only the 3 cabins on the property, rent the 2 and bring the whole family or just rent 1 and still feel like your secluded. We stay in the 3rd cabin for the season. We can provide you with a personal experience to include family dinners, movie nights under the stars, arts & crafts, and even guided fishing trips.
Who we are
Ray and Jillian Soden, we have been enjoying the Adirondacks for over 20 years. Both of us enjoy the outdoors and love the sport of fishing. We ran a tree and landscape business for the last 10 years and are now looking forward to sharing the experience of the Adirondack Mountains to each and every one of you!

Rustic but Nice
Full bathroom in a bathhouse setting (not attached to the cabins). Each cabin has their very own shower, toilet and sink. Just steps away from each cabin.
Enjoy the Peace
Start your morning with a cup of coffee on the front porch watching the hummingbirds and chipmunks.
We offer Dragonfly and River Rat cabins as a nightly rental at an affordable rate. Each cabin can accommodate 5 people with a secluded queen size bedroom, a loft and a set of bunk beds. Basic kitchen with full size refrigerator, cook top, & outside propane grill. There is no running water in the cabins. A large utility sink is located on the side of the bathhouse to wash dishes. Enjoy the outdoors with a 6' screened in front porch.
Jump in your car and head out to miles of scenic byways, waterfalls, lakes, rivers, and hiking trails.
If relaxing at camp is more your style, we have kayaks, canoe,paddle boat, beach area, ladderball and horseshoes, hammocks and more.
