Jillian and Ray's place is exceptional! As a realtor in NYC, I highly recommend it! My family and I stayed a week at the cabin. During that time, Jillian and Ray were very hospitable, thoughtful and attentive to our needs. They give you a lot of privacy and space, which we loved. The location is excellent and the amenities were abundant. The cabin and bathroom were sparkling clean. The grounds are well-maintained and very scenic. Wonderful place to also bring your pet ! Our dog was in heaven! If you want to venture out, I recommend Lampson Falls and Star Lake which are about 20mins away from the cabin. There is a market about a 4min drive from the cabin where you can buy sandwiches, beverages, ice etc., which we utilized often. All in all, a fantastic experience ! Thank you, Jill and Ray!

This is my first experience with Airbnb. I don't regret it at all. I had a wonderful vacation with my husband and my 2 girls. Jillian and Ray made everything so comfortable, easy for us you can't imagine. We were ready for camping in a cabin, and we took with us many things to not run to the store if we need something. Big surprise, everything was provided for us in a very detailed way. The kitchen is fully equipped. For a rainy day we bought with us board games, but my kids chose from the games from the cabin and we had a blast. The river is right there for swimming, fishing, kayaking and paddle boating. Watching the hummingbirds, chipmunks, woodpeckers, blue-jays, finches looking for food or chasing each other was a great show right from our porch. Private bathroom is priceless this day with the corona virus. I can't wait to go back next year. Thank you Jillian and Ray!

We just returned from a lovely stay in Jillian and Ray's place. We stayed in the River Rat cabin, which is located near the Oswegatchie River, and our other family members stayed in the Dragonfly cabin. We had great weather, and the accommodations were first rate. Everything was sparkling clean, especially the bath house, and the layout of the camp was amazing and fun. Plenty to do if you so desire but also very peaceful if you are looking to get away from the hectic day-to-day grind. Ray and Jill were onsite, but NEVER in the way but there if you needed anything. We could not have had a nicer time here, and we are definitely coming back!!!

I almost don’t want to give the perfect review that they so deserve because I want to make sure there is available times when I want to come back. I don’t want to let the secret out !! Yes, it’s that wonderful. This was my 2nd time back. One day after leaving we booked both cabins for next summer and are bringing the family. The river is a dream. So clear and clean. I went swimming on September 27th and it was amazing ! This will be everything you are looking for. Elizabeth

Jillian and Ray’s place was perfect for our quick visit to the area. We were sorry to not have been able to enjoy all the outdoor activities they offer due to time and weather. We hope to be able to stay again and take advantage of all they have to offer. It is a beautiful spot!

This cabin is about 30 minutes from St. Lawrence University. After seeing a whole group of people who were sleeping in trailers in the parking lot, I am so glad that we decided to stay a little out of town. My only regret is that we did not spend more time at the cabin as this is a beautiful location with lots of peaceful surroundings.

This is a beautiful & peaceful place! The location is off the beaten path, but close to town. I wish I had booked for a longer stay! My dog was also a big fan!

Jill and Ray went above and beyond in making our stay a memorial experience. The cozy cabin was stocked with every amenity you could imagine and there was so many fun activities on the property. We enjoyed kayaking, cooking outside, and enjoying drinks around a fire (in the ice cold mugs so thoughtfully awaiting us in the freezer). My dogs even had a great time running around with sweet and spunky Roxy. 5 stars isn’t enough for the relaxing get away Jill and Ray made possible for us. My only complaint is that we didn’t stay longer.

My boyfriend and I spent two nights at the dragonfly for our anniversary and loved our experience. We made a fire every night (firewood provided by hosts) and were able to explore the waterfalls nearby during the day. There’s a nice market right on the Main Street in town where we were able to get some food (yummy pizza and mozzarella sticks!) and supplies. On our last day we took the paddle boat out. The water outlet, the bathrooms, and the other cabins are just a short walk away from the dragonfly cabin. It was a relaxing few days and we loved every minute of it, the cabin is so cozy and has everything you’d need for a relaxing glamping experience.

I’m already yearning to return to Dragonfly @ Rustic Cabins. Everything was fabulous! Great cabin, comfortable bed, super hot strong shower. I loved the outside areas and the privacy. I especially loved the battered fish and horror movie on the full moon Friday 13th. I’ll be back 3 nights was way too short!

This is a great getaway in the Adirondack region. The cabins are great for a couple or a family. The cabin has everything you need and is next to a beautiful river where you can swim, kayak, fish, or take a boat. Great hosts in a lovely spot - would definitely come back!

We are returning clients to this hidden corner of paradise! Last year we booked for only one night and upon arriving regretted almost immediately not booking longer! So this year we booked for three nights. WOW!!!!! Ray and Jill, you guys have built a northern paradise! The cabins, the bathrooms the entire place is ABSOLUTELY perfect! This is my kind of place. The two cabins are very close and very similar but at the same time, distinct and also isolated from one another. You are somewhere...but in the middle of nowhere... You are a 10 minute drive to a convenience store but far enough from anywhere to hear the coyotes howl in the distance and see the Milky Way in the sky at night. I Haven't seen this many stars in years! Ray and Jill will pass by from time to time to see if you need anything, but are more than willing to respect your privacy. (have a beer with them....they're awesome!!!!!) Our hosts are really passionate about providing everything for their guests and have managed to do so with ease! We will book again for a third year in a row next summer, probably more than once!!!!!!! See you soon, Andre, Cindy, Rejeanne, Emilie

Jill & Ray’s place is wonderful! Serene, scenic, and very well kept. We enjoyed kayaking, swimming in the river, and hiking nearby. Everything in the cottage was perfect and it felt like a true home away from home. It was awesome that we could bring our rescue pup with us as well. Thanks again!

River Rat just might be Aimee, Frangie and I's favourite place on earth now. This was our second time staying and we were greeted like old friends the minute we pulled into camp. We spend most of our time lounging on the porch, watching birds or kayaking up and down the river outside our door, which was our intention for the week. We did manage to take in some of the local sights and even took a great boat tour around Flat Rock reservoir! 100% will be back. So glad that Jillian and Ray have set up this little slice of natural wonder to share.

Jill & Ray are great hosts. Their camp is perfect place to unplug (somewhat) and unwind. Campsite offered many things to do and very cool trails & waterfalls nearby. They added some great touches to make it feel “at home” while getting away to that cabin in the woods. Dark skies to see thousands of stars and luckily for us shooting stars!!! All this fun but Roxy is the true star of the show at the campsite. Great place, go enjoy it!!

What an amazing stay! Jill and Ray are the most hospitable hosts ever. They made sure we were lacking nothing. From unlimited firewood (and we used a lot) as well a helping us girls get it going lol! To gutting our fish and getting it ready for us to cook! They filled in anywhere we needed them. Many other examples as well. The location was EXACTLY what we expected, PERFECT. Very very private not too far from a few fun attractions. Groceries and beer just around the corner. The cabin was lovely. Spotless upon our arrival. We were provided with farm fresh eggs, fresh cold drinking water in the fridge,  extra blankets,  etc.... The bath house was only a few steps away from us. Again, exceptionally clean and well kept. Nice hot water every morning and evening. We chose to be more involved on the family level with Jill and Ray. We were not disappointed. We were made to feel like family ourselves. Plenty outdoor fun to be had. Paddle boat, kayaks, floats, rafts, swimming, horseshoes, ladder golf! Lots to keep you occupied. The best trip with my girls yet!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights for our 3rd anniversary getaway and it was awesome staying here. The place is super clean, Ray and Jill (and Roxy) were so nice and laid back! We went fishing on the river in the little John boat and he caught a couple northern pike and a few bass. We hiked Lampson Falls and got lunch at Last Lap. I would absolutely recommend this place to everyone and anyone. Super relaxing and peaceful!!! We can’t wait to go back!!

super cute little place right by the water. everything you could want is in this air b&b! There’s kayaks, a paddle boat, fishing poles, even floaties and life jackets. Jillian and Ray thought of everything down to ice in the freezer and fresh eggs for breakfast. There’s also fans and an AC in the main bedroom to help keep cool which was great. The river is small and quiet, with their cabin being the only one on the water for quite a while. I can’t say anything bad about this experience. It was quiet, beautiful, and clean. It’s a place worth going back to every year. Thank you for everything!

Jill and ray, first of all we would like to tell you what a beautiful place and set up you have. We had such a blast and the cabin is just adorable. Very private, very calming, just can’t say enough good things about the river rat. Joe and I would highway recommend these cabins to anyone. The peace and tranquility is far better than I have ever seen in my life. You people are the greatest hosts we could have come across. We specifically want people to definitely come check your place out and when they do, ask Jill to tell the pheasant story. I don’t think I ever laughed so hard at that story and I think people should really hear all about it. Roxy you are one in a million-such a sweetheart. Fishing was great, the river view was so beautiful. We are so looking forward to coming back. Again, thank you Jill and ray for this experience, your place was a little piece of heaven for us and were grateful to have new friends like you both! -Betsy and joe
